Light Archit (14″ x 14″ x 6″) is a piece I was commissioned to make for a couple in Iowa, through the Shaw Gallery of Naples, Florida. It was an opportunity for me to create what I think of as a masterpiece. It just came out great. The sense of it is a 6″ x 6″ x 12″ column cut in thirds and reassembled with circles of plate glass between the three pieces. It sits on a quietly spinable anodized aluminum base with a piece of Corian placed into the recessed top.
