This large sculpture (20x20x18) is a study in color fields and the beauty that the transparency of glass can bring to a physical object. As the aquamarine shades overlap the color deepens. As the inner cube is cut and recut wafers of color appear like straight ribbons. The combination of leaded and non-leaded glasses in the interior create even more interest, especially when combined with the sandblasted and painted circle graphics. This piece has tremendous presence. A narrative for this sculpture might be how disparate shapes or energies can merge to form a new shape, one that has harmony in it's dissonance. Much like our own attempt to reconcile various aspects of our lives.
