Isisphere

At 10x10x9, this piece exudes beautiful color and fom.  The rectangular shaped center is composed of leaded and non-leaded glasses and two colors of dichroic glass.  It's cut and recut until it has a fascinating refractory quality.  It's then fashioned into a cube with clear additions.  And then it's rendered into a sphere, cut in half, and reassembled with a piece of optical crystal acting as a bridge between the two halves.  Then the bottom is ground and polished and glued onto a circle of plate glass that sits in the recessed top of a noiseless spinning anodized aluminum base.  It explodes with color.  It's multifaceted in the same way as we are, sometimes showing one aspect of our personalities, and then another.  A softness and a hardness, all at the same time.
