Measuring 10x10x10, this bright piece has been fashioned out of a red cube encased within a clear cube. Amethyst graphics have been sandblasted and painted inside the interior construction. The redness (kokkino in Greek) is from a tinted glass that I create. As the piece turns one can see how the clear glass reflects and refracts the interior images. It's like a 3D kaleidescope. The narrative for this piece is warmth, brightness, heat, and architecture. It's affixed to a circle of plate glass which sits in the recessed top of the spinning anodized aluminum base.
