Measuring 11x9x6, Triangulated Squares is a study of right angles in a field of triangles and how they relate to each other and they tension they create. Originating in a cube within a cube, color within clear, that shape is then cut into triangles and reassembled with optical elements acting as a bridge, thus creating a dynamic, unlikely shape. The squares are sandblasted into the blue and magenta dichroic glasses and are arranged in such a way as to be diagonal to each other. The two halves are nicely and stably balanced. The narrative is one of language and shape, how two similar motifs can at the same time be one and not one, and how certain connections can restore that wholeness.
